Emerging Founders develops top next-generation entrepreneurs who are working full-time on a venture after graduation. Through a combination of in-person and virtual events, Founders are mentored through the Praxis process of “Learning, Discerning, and Designing” as they seek to build redemptive themes into their venture from the start.
Each year 8-12 members of the Academy Community are selected for this fellowship that begins with a special track during Academy Week (held in August) and continues on for 9-months. Thanks to generous supporters, the program itself remains effectively free of cost and we do not take an equity position in the venture in exchange for mentorship, as many similar programs do.
We look for Founders of businesses or nonprofits who are under 25 that either are already working full-time on their startup, or plan to make the leap to go full time in the near-future.
Applications for 2019 closed on May 1. If you are interested in applying late, you can fill out this form and we will notify you if a spot might be available for this year.
Starting in Fall 2019, Collective members will work with Praxis Academy to launch campus groups that convene robust discussions on redemptive entrepreneurship. Much like salons in 16th century Italy were gatherings for the exchange of ideas, Collectives will convene robust discussions on the influence and impact of entrepreneurship on culture.
Collective members will also have monthly Zoom video calls with the Praxis Academy team and a Cohort of peers working on these initiatives across a diverse group of campuses. The monthly calls will feature learnings from leading practitioners of redemptive entrepreneurship as well as time for peers to share best practices for what’s working on their campus.
If you are an Alumni interested in the Campus Collective, please email us!
PAY IT FORWARD
As Alumni, you know the value of the Praxis community which begins at Academy Week. You also know how tight finances can be for students. We believe in paying it forward and in the power of generosity -- both for the giver and the receiver.
If you've graduated and are working, would you consider giving towards the Academy Week Scholarship fund? You can support the General Fund, or one of the International Cohorts coming this summer from Latin America or Africa!
CURATE THE COMMUNITY
We’re always looking for great people to invite to apply for Academy Week, Emerging Founders — as well as connect with those interested in Partnerships, be it a Professor, School Administrator, or Campus Ministry director.
As an Alumni, we’d love your help curating your future peer community. You can Nominate Peers through the form below. If you’d like to do an introduction, just send us a quick email with some information about the intro and we’ll be sure the right person on our team follows up with you to facilitate that.
